Scorpio Rising: how the world sees you

Your first impression

You come across as gentle, perceptive and a little hard to read. People often feel comfortable opening up to you before you've said much about yourself.

How you approach new situations

In new situations you tend to observe first and commit slowly. Once you've decided you're in, you're steady and hard to shake.

How you come across in conversation

You may say less than you know. You listen, observe, and notice patterns before deciding what to reveal. When you finally speak honestly, it can carry more weight because you've usually thought about it for a while.

Your chart ruler: Pluto (traditionally Mars)

The planet that rules your Rising sign is called your chart ruler. For Scorpio Rising that's Pluto (traditionally Mars). The sign and house it was in at your birth add a lot of detail to how your Scorpio Rising plays out, which is why two people with the same Rising sign can still feel very different.

What people misread about Scorpio Rising

Intensity isn't automatically manipulation. A lot of your guardedness comes from wanting to protect something genuinely vulnerable underneath.
